Does this guys energy machine really work as he says on his website? http://www.josephnewman.com/ Am I missing something here or has this invention been shelved for politicle reasons.

Do a Google search on the term "crank science", and you will find that Newman fits the mold to a nanometer. One quick scan of his website is all takes to see that.

Not political, legal. It's against the law. That is, the laws of Thermodynamics (you not only can't get out more than you put in, you can't even get out everything you put in), Newton's laws (every action has an equal and opposite reaction) and probably a number of others.

Pardon me, but I feel the need to interject here.
I have felt much the same way that you do many times. Your response indicates that you truly want to learn, and IMHO, it won't be long before you *do* find something that is promising. A little education can go a long way, and you'll be sure to find more of that here than any other forum on the net, from my own experience.
You'll do just fine. Keep the hope, but make sure you temper it with knowledge.

first off: B&K is a generic test eauipment OEM, and their stuff just doesn't measure up to first class test gear like HP, Tektronics, ect.\ secondly: anyone who thinks that one can get a higher resolution in electrical measurments from an OScope, than any other device, just hasen't worked in any Certified Calibration Labs, or spent any time using REAL Test Equipment. thirdly: 30Mhz OScopes haven't been "State of the Art" since Moses came down from Mt. Sinai. I have an old junk Tek 485DM44 that is orders of Magnitude better than any 30Mhz wonder you can name, but most any Lab Grade Digital Voltmeter has Orders of Magnitude better resolution than my 485DM44........

Yup. Way back when I remeber my boss trying to get me to use a Tektronic scope to set capcitive high voltage transformers to balance in a Zero sequence voltage detection circuit....LOL
Let's see you determine a two sine waves are 120 degrees out of phase on a scope...geeesh.
The voltage readings and a little triangulation and some math did a much better job. Of course the pahse angle meters weren't available back then like they are now.
