Renewable energy

Whale oil could be the answer.

Let's go back to whale oil. We could build nurseries for whales that could dump millions of pups into the ocean every year. We could catch whales and just drain some of the oil and throw them back. We could genetically engineer the glands that make whale oil and have large whale oil farms for large production. Hey, it's renewable.

algea grows a whole lot faster and doesnt run away from you.

I thought whale oil was melted blubber? You need to slice em up to get it. There'd be a lot more vegetarians if everyone had to do his own butchering.

Maybe the OP was referring to _whale liposuction_...

Whale oil is retrieved by slicing off the layers of fat (blubber) under the skin. The only practical way is to kill the animal (or are you proposing liposuction for whales?)

How many million whales does it take to produce a million pups a year,

considering the gestation period of a whale and other factors such as the accumulated whale shit. --

Why bother with the whales? I suggest collecting the excess oil from the faces of teenagers.

The other question is what will the whales eat? The oceans are already over fished.
