Adams County commits to Rentech

"Natchez Adams County supervisors have committed to Rentech Inc. that no other company will locate on the county-owned old Belwood Country Club site.
Were basically taking that property off the market, supervisors President Darryl Grennell said. Things are moving forward with that project.
Colorado-based Rentech has announced interest in building a coal gasification plant at the Belwood site. The plant would produce a clean-burning diesel fuel by heating coal, capturing the gas released and cooling it to a liquid. The process is contained, and byproducts include fertilizer."

Rentech lobbying priority for session By Nita McCann The NatcHez Democrat
NATCHEZ When it comes to the legislative session that starts this week, both the areas legislative delegation and local officials have one primary thing on their mind Rentech.
Specifically, the Colorado-based fuel production is asking the Mississippi Development Authority for $15 million to start work on a plant in Adams County, City Attorney Walter Brown said.
That would be match with $10 million from the company, Brown said. And $15 million, in the great scheme of requests by industrial prospects, is a fairly modest request, he added.
Thats in addition to financial incentives Rentech and the Natchez-Adams County Economic Development Authority are seeking from Washington.
