They're getting a lot of media attention primarily because they've been able to write some fancy press releases and attract venture capital from some big names. However, they're highly secretive about their products, so nobody really has any idea what they're doing or whether they can come anywhere near making a product that can back up their claims. The only publicly available information is their press releases and their patent disclosures.
Last May they issued a press release announcing that they had entered commercial production and had contracts to deploy some demo systems by the end of the year. However, the press release no longer mentions commercial production or demonstration systems, just some executive hires that were announced at the same time.
I've been skeptical of them since I first heard about them because they make extraordinary claims and refuse to back them up. Obviously, that doesn't mean their claims are without merit, but you know what they say about extraordinary claims requiring extraordinary proof....
