Purchase Solar water heater system online?
Date: Mon Oct 31, 2005 2:50 am. By: Bill
I want to install a solar water heater system and would like the water pump to be powered by solar electric as well.
I search google and get zillions of web pages on this!
Where is the best place to buy what I need online?
(I do construction/plumbing/electrical work, so can do everything myself, get permit, etc.)

I purchased absorbers from this outfit http://www.sunraysolar.com/pricelist.html. They were very nice to deal with, even willing to ship the absorbers unassembled to save on shipping (I already had enclosures). But it turned out they could offer such a good deal on truck freight that I ordered assembled units.
I was going to go the PV power/control route, but on reflection decided to use a Temp Trak II differential controller instead, partly because I wanted direct digital readouts of the sensor temperatures. The controller and pump are both AC powered. A battery-powered timer eliminates power draw except during daylight hours.
