Solar Decathlon

I finally made it to the Solar Decathlon this afternoon. I rained way too hard yesterday. Well work the trip. The exhibitors are gone but the houses are going to be there through next weekend. I spent three hours talking to several Solar power and heat manufacturers and distributors. It was quite informative. Only one battery manufacture made an appearance.
Some of the houses look conventional some are quite interesting and others funky. It is apparent a lot of thought and creative energy went into these projects.

Thanks for the heads up, Michelle. I was going to go, but with this weather it did not feel right to look at anything solar ;-) What do you mean by "exhibitors gone"? I thought they have a winner announcement this week, I was kinda hoping to make it to DC next weekend...
